NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Government Code Section 54956, that the HIV Commission will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., in Conference Room 1119, Park Alameda Health Facility, 976 Lenzen Avenue, San Jose.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider the following items:

·        Consider recommendations relating to the 2018 National Ryan White Conference regarding HIV Care and Treatment in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

Possible action:

o       Approve forwarding recommendation to Board of Supervisors to approve travel for a Commissioner to travel to Oxon Hill, Maryland, to attend the conference from December 11, 2018 to December 14, 2018.

o       Approve total estimated travel expenses in the amount of $1852.

o       Select Commissioner to attend the conference.

·        Propose agenda items for the November 13, 2018 regular meeting.

·        Receive correspondence.

·        Announcements.

Members of the public may address the HIV Commission concerning any item described above before or during consideration of that item (Government Code Section 54954.3(a)).
